Wine and Cupcakes

I had my first cupcake and wine pairing downtown today at Dig Lounge’s Saarloos & Sons pairing event at our old home, the Met Lofts. The sun came out and I’d say it was the perfect afternoon for great pairing of 4 Saarloos & Sons (California) wines with some tasty Enjoy cupcakes.
The charming Sarloos family (including winemaker/owner Keith Saarloos) appear to be the kind of family you’d like to be adopted into. They were all pitching in to make quite the impression on the guests. Keith took a few moments to put his “Lost” theory to print on an empty cupcake box. I’m looking forward to getting up to Saarloos & Sons Los Olivos winery. My favorites of the day: Cupcake = Blood Orange. Wine = 1946 Moon, Syrah/Cab Blend (brought a bottle home to share w/@mochipark). A great event & another great DTLA afternoon. Thanks Dig Lounge!
